8/9/2023 0 Comments Marx civil war playset![]() ![]() As I was driving into town along York Street (U.S. I spent Sunday afternoon tramping around Gettysburg, one of my favorite pastimes. I still have many of the pieces from my own set, which I received for Christmas in 1963. This dealer was selling a complete set of the Giant Marx Battle of the Blue & Gray playset for a little more than $1100. The toy soldier set that got me s tarted with my love for the Civil War and miniature wargaming – the granddaddy of them all. A wild melee soon ensued, and the Rebels entered the outskirts of the depot. Lynn had a field gun, and a pair of old mortars at his disposal, but ammunition was scarce, and the nearest trained crews were at Fort Rebecca forty miles away in Ashland.Ĭolonel Leroy Marks led the Confederate troops on the left, where they slammed into the Federal Marx Guard. It was a hodgepodge force, made up of various companies recruited throughout eastern Kentucky, including the Marx Guard, the MPC Rifles, the Britains Scouts, The Tim-Mee Warriors, and the Ideal Company. One of his objectives was the sprawling Union supply depot near Scottsburg, where he hoped the local civilians would rise up and join the Confederate cause.ĭefending the depot was the relatively untested Union garrison under Brig. He also hoped to draw the Federals’ attention away from the main lines, and, in doing so, open the way for the Confederates to retake most of Kentucky. Zachary Thomas led his veteran division on a mission to raid Federal supply depots and to disrupt enemy communications and logistics. ![]()

![]() Families will pick their favourite idea to turn their garden into the beautiful escape they’ve always dreamed of. In Your Garden Made Perfect, Angela Scanlan and teams of designers use cutting edge technology to show the true potential of your garden and the paradise it could be. From plant selection to furniture design and DIY projects, this dynamic trio will inspire you to take your outdoor space to the next level. Your Home Made Perfect is available now on Netflix.Get ready to transform your outdoor space with the ultimate dream team: horticulturist extraordinaire Errol Reuben Fernandes, design guru Joel Bird, and master craftsman Bruce Kenneth! They're here to share their expert tips and tricks to help you create a beautiful and functional outdoor oasis that you'll love spending time in. Your Garden Made Perfect airs on BBC Two from Friday 4 February at 8pm. I'm just so thrilled to be part of something that really resonates with people and they love it. It's in Australia and it's in Singapore and I get random messages from South Africa from people loving the show. Your Home Made Perfect is now on Netflix, so it's found a whole other audience. If I'm sacked they haven't told me! I'm not one hundred per cent sure, as we haven't got to that point yet, but hopefully. Will there be another series of Your Garden Made Perfect and, if so, will you be part of it? It's been massive for me and for my head and for my sanity, and I think a lot of people relate to that. We'd pop the kitchen table onto the patio and dress it up with a tablecloth and we'd feel like we were on holiday, even though we were in North London. We'd take the table out when the weather was gorgeous. We have a little garden and I honestly love it so much… I think my garden, surprisingly, became a real anchor for me over the over the past couple of years when lockdown was at its highest. Do you have your own outdoor space? What do you gain from the time you spend time in it? But if you buy a plant that needs sun or needs shade and you put it in the wrong place or the soil is the wrong alkalinity, then it's not going to really work. I'd always say “what are you talking about?” I just buy a plant in the garden centre, put it in the hole that I've dug and the rest is history. With the garden one, one of the simplest things they all say is right plants, right place. But over the course of four series of Your Home Made Perfect, I now go into a house, (which is really annoying for people, I generally try to keep to myself) and I'll think, “oh the living room should not be here, the light is not here at all until the evening.” I am not a design pro, particularly when it comes to gardens. How much have you learnt while working on the show? It's really lovely, actually.īBC There are a lot of things to consider when planning a garden that most viewers perhaps wouldn’t have thought about before. The massive impact that it can have on a family and the ease that they feel and the happiness that it can give or it can hold, is often quite emotional. the cameras are setting up I hover outside the front door because I do not want to have to recreate my natural reaction. What is it like to step into the final garden, having witnessed the initial 3D design through VR goggles? These designers manage to create these gardens that look exactly like the little dream goggles situation. ![]() It still blows my mind that the VR is so realistic and then that it's achievable. Sometimes when I'm doing voiceover, I'm like, "is this the virtual reality or is this the real thing?" So they can be really, really similar. They plant it - I don't! How similar are the final gardens in real life, compared to the original virtual reality design? Then the contributors choose and we plant it. Our two designers create the dream garden (they hope!) and pitch for it. they hate their garden, or they don't know what to do or how to start. We've got a team of designers and we have a couple or a family or whoever with a problem. The big thing that sets it apart from other makeover-type shows is virtual reality. For us, it's definitely about more urban spaces, smaller gardens, really clever solutions to limited spaces a patio, if you've got a tiny shared courtyard, or even public spaces. To my mind, garden shows are like sweeping lawns and deep borders. ![]() BBC What makes Your Garden Made Perfect different from other shows? ![]() 8/9/2023 0 Comments Neil young harvest moon![]() While making his rounds on the Canadian folk circuit, Young began to rub elbows with other up-and-coming Canadian musicians, including fellow folk singer Joni Mitchell and rock band the Guess Who. Intent on a career as a musician, he dropped out of high school and started performing at clubs and coffeehouses in the area, first with the Squires and later as a solo act. Over the next few years, he would play with several bands before forming the folk-rock group the Squires in 1963. Following the split, Robert stayed with his father in Toronto and Rassy relocated to Winnipeg with the teenage Young, who by this time was far more interested in his musical pursuits than he was in academics. However, his parents’ marriage, which had been strained for some time, did not recover, and in 1960 they finally divorced. With time, Young was able to overcome his ailments, and with his mother’s encouragement, he began to nurture an interest in music, learning to play both the ukulele and banjo. Suffering from epilepsy, Type 1 diabetes and polio, by 1951 his health had deteriorated so far that he was unable to walk. ![]() Despite the idyllic setting, however, Young’s boyhood was a complicated one. Four years later, his parents, Scott and Edna, who went by the name Rassy, moved to the small rural town of Omemee, where Young and his older brother, Robert, spent their early youth. Young was born on November 12, 1945, in Toronto, Canada. More than 50 years into his musical career, he continues to record and tour on a regular basis. Nicknamed the “Godfather of Grunge” for his undeniable influence on that genre, Young is also a strong advocate for environmental and disability issues, as demonstrated by his co-founding of the Benefit for Farm Aid and the Bridge School Benefit Concerts. He earned fame both as a member of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSN&Y) and as a solo artist, writing and recording such timeless songs as "Old Man," "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)," "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Heart of Gold"-a No. in the mid-1960s and co-founded the band Buffalo Springfield. ![]() 8/9/2023 0 Comments Pcsx2 compatibility list 2016![]() ![]() ![]() Backyard Basketball - (Black screen with MTVU.Reported by jackyyn) - Fixed in MTVU: Improve compatibility with games that do GS SIGNAL/LABEL/FINISH #4035 10,000 Bullets - (Black screen with MTVU.Reported by Nobbs66) - Fixed in MTVU: Improve compatibility with games that do GS SIGNAL/LABEL/FINISH #4035 007: Agent Under Fire - (Internal slowdowns. ![]() If you want a comprehensive list of those games, please visit the relevant forum thread here: Note: This is ONLY for broken games, right now, I consider slowdown and glitches a "tough" kind of situation. This is perfect for integrating objects in perspective, and still keep the possibility to modify it in a flat view ! More, you can add filters, masks and transformations to this copy. You can create an instance of a layer, that will be updated in real time if the source layer is modified. This is probably one of my favorite feature. This means that you can add transformations and filters to your layers… and adjust them or delete them at any time, and going back to your source layer (just like smart objects in Photoshop). In Krita, transformations and filters are rendered in a non-destructive way. Very convenient, especially if you are drawing in “canvas only” mode, which hide the toobars, panels and menus. Favorite Tools and Color Wheel with Right Clickĭon’t waste your time in the menus ! Your favorite tools are accessible via a simple right click on the canvas ! This is a great way to stay focus on the drawing. Wait ! There is one in Krita ! Color history is a great feature. What was the red value ? Impossible to use the eyedropper, you used 20% opacity brushes… If only you had a color history… So you paint red, you paint green, then paint yellow, and you want to paint red again, but wait…. Nice ! Wheel, Square, Luminance based… You have the choice ! Color History In Krita, you do have one, and if you don’t like it, you will be able to choose other different color wheel format. In Photoshop, we had to wait until the last CC 2014 to have it natively. It is very nice to have a color wheel in any graphics software, to allow faster color selection. It is just like advanced clipping mask ! The Inherit Alpha function in action. Layers are able to be visible only on the sum of all the other layers below them (in the same group). At last ! Multiple masks per Layer is very useful if we want to apply filter locally. Krita allows you to have several selection masks and opacity masks per layer. 18 Real-Time Multiple View per Documentĭo you ever feel limited by the one pixel mask solution offered by Photoshop ? Here is a quick review of the best things I found in this software. And that’s why I will often talk about Photoshop as a reference in this article. That’s why recently Paris 8 Art University decided to decline their Photoshop Licenses and replaced it by Krita. Sure, it could be considered more than a Corel Painter (which I don’t really know, honestly) alternative than a Photoshop one, which is more dedicated to photos, but these functionalities could be beneficial for any kind of work. I don’t make a lot of digital painting myself (I made comic-strip colorization but it is not really the same thing as painting), but as a veteran Photoshop user since v5 (actual version is v15), I am pretty impressed by a lot of things in Krita. ![]() For two main reasons : it’s free, so everyone will be able to test it and see how nice it is, and it is very powerful. I have the feeling that Krita could become one of the most respected digital painting software out there. Wanting to know the beast more deeply, I spend days and nights tweaking and testing all the functions of the software, while watching tutorials and reading articles about it. I have showed what I found to my digital painter friend Victor and he became as excited as me on these tools. In less than 5 minutes, some things that it has to offer just blew my mind. I was reading an article about Krita, a free software for making digital painting, on my friend Yann Isabel‘s Graphyz’Art website, and I decided to take a closer look to this project. Krita is now v3.0, and get a lot of extra features that could have been showcased here, like performance optimization for very large brushes and canvas, traditional animation module, animated brushes, new blending mods dedicated to painting… Also, a lot of improvements on stability, performance, hardware compatibility and UI have been made, which is a very good thing! It took a hell of a long time to get the right modifiers, too. Notes: This is the only high-quality pair of magical leggings I could consistently find in the game. Located: Treasure Room, Imps Deserted Castle Legs - "Lich's Plate Leggings of the Assassin" (Plate Leggings) This one does meet my minimum requirements, 10 Intelligence on a wizard is equal to 60 mana.
